Bird Forestry celebrates 40 years of service to forestland owners this year. As a part the anniversary celebrations planned, company employees, family and friends gathered at Minute Maid Park in Houston last Sunday to enjoy a Houston Astros and Texas Rangers baseball game.

“Attending the game was a humbling day for Donna and me,” Mike said. “Over 100 people attended, and most were our employees and their families. We have a talented and dedicated staff that makes my job easy. In addition, being able to rely on my sons and partners, Mike and Mark, and my partner of almost 25 years, Mark Brian, I see the future of our business as being strong and one of continued growth.”

“It is a joy knowing we have been here and have been able to service our clients for four decades,” Mike added. “Donna has been, and remains, my rock. I could not have done this without her support and the support of our clients. Thank you all.”

In 1979, Mike and Donna Bird founded the family-owned company that, to this day, continues to offer high-quality, science-based forest management for a wide variety of clients.

Bird Forestry is one of the leading independent forestry consulting firms in the region with a client base spanning the spectrum from small, family-owned and non-industrial forest landowners to some of the country’s largest timberland investment organizations.
